Besides being extremely competent and thorough, she has the patient at her heart, so she would take all the necessary time until you feel comfortable with lenses and contact lenses. Beverly Plaza Optometric Center is quite advanced practice with a friendly atmosphere. Dr. Umangi is the most caring optometrist I have ever encounter in my life. Very knowledgeable, able to explain complex things in a simple way. Knows her equipment/tools well and makes a patient part of her thought / decision making process. It feels like she really cares about patient's well being and best interest. Dr. Umangi has a gentle personal approach and makes you feel welcomed from the beginning to the end of the appointment.
